Abstract

This study aims to ascertain the impact different sources of information have on secondary student awareness and understanding of climate change. This research presents the results obtained from surveys of secondary school students who carried out activities under the Gippsland ADAPT Program in the Gippsland Region of Victoria, Australia. The results suggest that students consider that they are well informed and that the main sources of information are social media, the Internet and television. The role of educators, family, scientists and environmental groups is also crucial in developing awareness of climate change.
